Research data deposit policy
The Tecnología, Ciencia y Educación journal is committed to FAIR Principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability and Reusability) in the publication of its research data. We recommend the use of the FAIR-Aware application, an online tool that helps researchers and data managers assess their level of knowledge about the requirements necessary to make research datasets compliant with FAIR Principles before they are uploaded to a repository.
In order to facilitate the availability and proper citation of materials attached to published articles, the validation and reproducibility of research and the reusability of data and materials used in published research communications, we recommend that authors deposit the data obtained in their research (e.g., numerical data in the form of Excel, Access or similar tables, images, photographs, videos, 3D models, databases, statistics, interview transcripts, etc.) in institutional or thematic open access repositories, federated in the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). If necessary, the registry of research data repositories re3data can be consulted, bearing in mind that each repository has its own deposit rules.
Articles whose research data has been deposited in public repositories must have unique and persistent identifiers. Authors should mention it in the article submitted to the journal, providing therein a brief description of the type of data deposited, the name and URL of the repository, the identifier code and the data of the license for use and distribution. This information will appear in a note after the authors' initial data.
