Knowing the evolutionary patterns of students is a key element to be able to adapt the teaching and learning processes that occur in the classrooms. Knowing what boys and girls are like, how they understand the world, can help manage our educational centers in a closer and more inclusive way. This manual aims to combine scientific evidence with the reality of Early Childhood and Primary Education classrooms and helps to focus attention on those elements that influence and interact in development, in order to provide teachers with solid knowledge that allows them to cope with a critical look at their educational work. On the one hand, it consists of common chapters for all teachers, in which the perspective of the life cycle in development is presented. Those contexts that interact systemically with the school, especially the family, are also analyzed and strategies are proposed to make them function in harmony. On the other hand, it presents a close analysis of development in its different areas (physical, cognitive and language, affective and socio-moral) in the stages of Early Childhood and Primary Education.
