Currently, it is necessary to innovate in the teaching and learning processes through active methodologies that allow to include and encourage people towards the achievement of objectives in an attractive way. In this sense, gamification has become a techno-pedagogical methodology that facilitates this by promoting the use of game elements to attract students. This study aimed to evaluate through a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the academic and scientific literature the existing knowledge about teachers' (men and women) experiences in integrating gamification in teaching, in order to understand the current perspective of the contributions in this field and highlight areas that need further research or development. The study was conducted under a qualitative documentary approach consisting of two phases: heuristic and hermeneutic. Upon completion of the search and application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a sample of 23 papers published in the period from 2018 to 2023 was obtained. They were categorized by different elements, such as author, year of publication, objective, type of study, scope and main findings. Mixed studies and those published in 2022 predominated. We were able to propose a grouping of factors that may influence teachers to use gamification, and provided a series of recommendations for future studies.
